Yugu Yobo migrated to the United States in 2003 and has since built an impressive career as both an entrepreneur and a dedicated care provider. After working with some of Maine’s largest providers, including GBC and Spurwink, he founded Shepherd’s Care in 2018 with the mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality support to those in need. As a father of four, Yugu understands the importance of community and the impact that care and support can have on individuals’ lives. His passion for helping others comes from his own journey—just as his community supported him, he is committed to giving back and improving the lives of others, whether through direct care or community engagement.

Aruna Kenyi is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts, beginning his journey as a volunteer for the Peace Corp before transitioning into the home care industry. He earned his Master’s in Public Health from the University of Farmington, equipping him with the expertise to develop and implement effective care strategies. As Operations Manager since Shepherd’s Care’s founding, Aruna has played a vital role in ensuring the organization runs smoothly while maintaining a strong focus on client care. He believes in a hands-on approach, emphasizing that being present—both mentally and physically—is essential to providing meaningful client support. Leading by example, he often works alongside Direct Support Professionals, offering ongoing training and support to uphold the highest standards of care. His dedication and leadership help create an environment where both clients and caregivers can thrive.

Emmanuel Yugu grew up in Portland, Maine, and has dedicated the past three years to working in behavioral health and the home care industry. With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley University, he combines his expertise in planning, strategy, and communication to ensure the highest quality care for clients. Passionate about enhancing the well-being of those in need, Emmanuel believes that collaboration is key to a healthy and effective work environment. His commitment to fostering teamwork and delivering exceptional care drives Shepherd’s Care’s mission to serve individuals with compassion and professionalism.
